MALAYSIAN DELIGHT RESTAURANT
If anyone is wondering how the signboard of the shop looks like, here is it. I manage to took 1 photo outside the shop. Looking at those dishes, aren't they mouthwatering?
It isn't a super modern restaurant. The dining area is fairly basic. I think they kept the whole concept to be more Asian native style. However, it did gave me a feeling of home as the restaurant are full of Authentic food smell.
The boss is a Malaysian. The staffs there are friendly and they provide quick services which I am kind of satisfy of. Imagine you are in a hurry or superbly hungry and need a quick meal, this would be an ideal place!
SPEAKING OF FOOD,
When looking through the menu, I am amazed by the variety of choices they have. Unfortunately, I came with my cousin and we both have small appetite. We ordered Assam Laksa and Char Kuey Teow.
One of my favourite dishes in Malaysia is Asam Laksa, cost 7.50 pounds |
For your information, Assam Laksa is a sour spicy with fish based soup. For Malaysians, I think it isn't too spicy for us. However, if you're someone who can't stand spicy food, I don't recommend you to try this because this restaurant made good Assam Laksa which has the taste close to Malaysia's true Assam Laksa. As you know some restaurant has manipulate the taste to suit the taste of the local people in other country. However, this restaurant gives a true Malaysian Assam Laksa taste.
Char Kuey Teow, costs 7.50 pounds |
No matter how hungry we are, the first thing we must do is to have a food picture! ~Asians ;) |
Overall, I think the meal is affordable. They also provide some set meals for big eaters. I enjoyed my meal and would definitely want to visit this restaurant again.
Just to a piece of my advice, if you're someone who love the typical "British Chinese food" this probably isn't a right place for you. It is a more true authentic Restaurant. However, if you would like to explore Malaysian Cuisine, this might be one of the ideal place. Cheers!
